Profile

Alexandra was born in 1967. She lived her childhood in the Swiss alps in a village called Leysin, and then settled by the lake of Geneva.

She trained as an occupational therapist but has however always been interested in art and handicrafts especially glass and metals.

Therefore during this period she pursued her artistic interests by enrolling on practical courses in these areas.

In 2005 she moved to Grimstad a small town by the sea side in Norway and decided to take up the art of handmade lampwork glass beads (glass melted over a blow torch) as a fulltime occupation.
In 2006 she opened a workshop and now develops different concepts in collaboration with other artists and craftsperson’s. Each project aims to combine glass beads with other materials to create a harmonious blend of colour and form in a unique style.
A fulfilling and passionate adventure...
