Profile

Alexandra

Alexandra was born in 1967 and grew up in the Swiss Alpine village of Leysin, before settling on the shores of Lake Geneva. Trained as an occupational therapist, she has always nurtured a passion for crafts, particularly glass and metal.

Alongside her career, she attended numerous practical workshops to refine her artistic sensibility.

In 2005, she moved to Grimstad, a charming coastal town in southern Norway, and dedicated herself full-time to lampworking glass. The following year, she opened her own studio-shop and began multidisciplinary collaborations to combine beads, silk, silver, enamel and other materials.

Since 2021 she has been working primarily in her studio and sells her creations in various shops and responds to custom orders.

She also offers courses by appointment to learn the basic techniques of this craft.
